About

Empowering Community Health for Camarines Norte

Rooted in Compassion, United by Purpose

Founded in 1980 by Luis & Brenda Cardozo, Filipino-Americans in the Bay Area, the Bay Area Camarines Norte Association was created to bridge the gap in healthcare access for families in Camarines Norte, Philippines. Our journey began with a shared commitment to uplift our hometown through collective action and compassionate service.

Now, under the leadership of President Fechie Alarcon and Cesar Echano – each year, our dedicated team of medical volunteers and community members organize surgical missions, providing life-changing procedures and critical medical care to underserved populations. These missions are funded through the generosity of our donors and the success of our annual charity events, such as our beloved golf tournament.

We believe that every person deserves quality healthcare, regardless of their circumstances. Through collaboration with Bay Area surgeons, volunteers, and supporters, we strive to make a lasting impact—transforming lives one surgery at a time.

Our work is possible because of the strength and unity of our community. Together, we celebrate our heritage, build lasting friendships, and create a brighter, healthier future for Camarines Norte.

Our Journey of Compassion

Founded by dedicated members of the Bay Area Filipino community, the Bay Area Camarines Norte Association has grown from a small circle of caring volunteers into a beacon of hope for hundreds in Camarines Norte, Philippines. Recognizing the urgent need for healthcare access, our organization embarked on its first surgical mission in 1980, bringing together medical professionals and volunteers with a shared vision of healing.

Over the years, our annual surgical missions have provided life-changing procedures and compassionate care to individuals who would otherwise go without. Through unwavering support from donors, volunteers, and local partners, we have expanded our reach, delivering essential surgeries, health education, and medical supplies year after year.

Our milestones are measured not just by the number of surgeries performed, but by the renewed hope and brighter futures we help create. Each mission reflects the love and commitment of our community, and every fundraising event—whether a spirited golf tournament or a heartfelt charity drive—fuels our ongoing promise to uplift those in need.
